The Hunger Games

A story in the future, in a nation called Panem. It is made up of a Capital and twelve other districts, each poorer as they go down.

To show who is boss, the Capitol hold The Hunger Games every year, in which a boy and girl from each district is forced to fight to death in an arena, which will be televised live.

From District 12 is Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mallark. They are taken to teh Capitol where they meet other tributes and publicly announced to the rest of Panem, at which Peeta announced his love for Katniss. The public audience is allowed to send gifts to teh tributes during the Games, which get more expensive as each day passes.

Finally the Games start with 11 of the tributes dying on the first day. The Games continue with Peeta and Katniss both managing to stay alive.

Suddenly a rule changes: two tributes from the same district can win.Peeta and Katniss finally manage to stay alive until the very end, but they change the rule back to only one tribute can win.

Peeta offers to die so Katniss can reap the rewards: their family will be showered with presents and food for one year until the Gamea again next year.
