James, an 11 year old boy, got in trouble into school. Then he went home and watched his mother die with his stepsister. Then James is sent to Nebraska House, where he meets Kyle. He then finds himself on the CHERUB campus. CHERUB is a secret governmenet organisation. He has to pass a few entrance tests before he can enter CHERUB. He then enters basic training, which all agents have to pass before going on missions.
His first mission was infiltrating a terrorist organisation, called Help Earth. He then explores a workshop, sticking his hands into boxes to take pictures. Ewart Asker took him out of Fort Harmony, clainming that he stuck his hands inside a box infected with anthrax spores. But after a few days in hospital being examined by an anthrax professional, it turns out that teh anthrax virus is the kind used for vaccinating people.
