Nineteen minutes

The story is set in Sterling, New Hampshire. One day, the local high school is attacked by a gnman, one of their students, Peter. The shooting kills 10 people and there are time flashes in between the presnt and past. In the past peter and Josie use to be close friends. They had slowly drifted apart as they got older. Peter is treated as an outcast by both his classmates and brother, this also causes a rift to form between son and parents.
The jocks torment Peter until he cannot stand it. One month before the shooting, Peter sends Josie an email expressing his love for her, but it gets spammed out to the whole school.
Peter is sent to jail to await trial, and at the trials, it turns out there was another person doing the shooting, Josie.
The book has lots of stuff relating to relationships.
